Not only is the starter lightweight for easy installation, but it's optimal for heavy duty truck engines. The 39MT specifically is built with an electrical soft start that rotates the pinion for proper ring gear engagement before cranking, minimizing tooth abutment related damage. It's sealed solid link solenoid eliminates contact welding in low system voltage situations, providing enhanced reliability. The sealed noiseless configuration in this starter minimizes debris accumulation and contamination. This starter uniquely includes an integral magnetic switch (IMS) that ensures maximum voltage in any starting condition as well as rotatable flange models that help improve service flexibility.

This Delco Remy 39MT 12 Volt Starter is specialized for Mak and Volvo vehicles that utilize SAE 3 mounts. Moving clockwise, it‚ features a 12 tooth pinion with an 8/10 pitch and a solenoid position of 251 degrees. It does not offer over crank protection.
