It offers the benefit of over-crank protection, protecting the starter against adverse starting conditions, such as cold weather or prolonged cranking. Clockwise rotation, 12 teeth pinion with an 8/10 pitch, insulated unit with an 082 solenoid switch position, and a SAE 3 drive end housing.
