This Match Made TP-5 style tractor protection valve is designed for trailer control and tractor protection. The TP-5 was formerly known as the VM-2 control manifold. They are a merger of two double check valves and a tractor protection valve. With these valves, either of the two service brake circuits of the dual air system on the vehicle can be used to apply the trailer brakes. In addition, when used in concurrence with a control valve, it opens and closes the trailer service and contribute lines in the same manner as a tractor protection valve. The valve also incorporates porting for the installation of the service stop lamp switch. This TP-5 valve from Match Made contains a 3/8 inch NPT service port front and rear as well as a 1/2 inch NPT trailer service and emergeny port. Stop light switch has a 1/4 inch NPT port measurement, as well.
