Semi Truck Power Inverter Cross References

Power inverters are devices that allow truck drivers to power a wide range of electronic devices by converting a truck's DC current to AC. This allows the truck's power to be used for devices such as laptops, tablets, microwaves, device chargers,  and more while on the road.

Here are some factors to consider when selecting the right semi-truck power inverter:

  • Wattage: The wattage of the inverter you need will depend on the devices and appliances you plan to use. To determine the wattage, add up the wattage ratings of all the devices you intend to power simultaneously. Choose an inverter with a wattage rating that is at least or higher than the total wattage of your devices.

  • Continuous and Peak Power: Continuous power refers to the amount of power the inverter can deliver continuously, while peak power is the maximum amount of power it can deliver for a short period. Select your power inverter according to its continuous power rating and your total wattage needs. The peak power rating is only intended for temporary power surges, such as when devices are first turned.

  • Input Voltage: Power inverters typically have an input voltage of 12V or 24V. Choose an inverter with an input voltage that matches the electrical system of your semi-truck.

  • Features: Consider the number and type of outlets you need on the inverter. Some inverters have multiple AC outlets and USB ports . Choose an inverter with features that are compatible with your devices.

The chart below is grouped by brand models available in their wattage rating and wave type. Each unit may have unique features/performance specs outside of the wattage rating and wave type.
