For Kenworth applications, this AC evaporator is a tube-fin type with no. 8 MOR inlet and outlet. It accommodates R12/R134a refrigerants. The evaporator, also known as the evaporator core, acts as a heat exchanger between the HVAC system and the interior of the truck. As cooler, low pressure refrigerant travels through the evaporator, the heat and humidity are removed and cooler air is circulated through the passenger cabin.
