The serpentine belt is one of the most important engine system parts that powers the alternator, power steering pump, air conditioning compressor and water pump. Idler/pulleys are complimentary components that provide tension and help guide the drive belt. This rubber HD Poly Rib Belt is designed for heavy-duty vehicles. This rib belt has a straight rib profile and comes with the benefit of a grooved design that runs cooler for longer; offers less noise when running and provides less slippage. The EPDM compounds are designed to resist cracking and perform better under extreme temperature ranges. The belt meets and exceeds SAE J1459 and SAE J2432 specifications, as a bonus. It contains a thickness of .17 inches and a length of 106.5 inches. Additionally, it has a width measuring 1.10 inches. With a standard rib depth, it offers 8 ribs.
