When performing routine maintenance on your semi-truck or other commercial vehicle, you may want to check to see if the brake chamber rod is bent; isn't fully retracting or chamber and slack adjusters are out of adjustment. It could be time for a replacement. After all, brake chambers should be replaced every two-five years.
This MJS3024ET s-cam brake chamber with breather tube and piggyback plus is designed for piston, parking brakes. This MJS 3 inch model features a tamper-resistant design and a 3 inch long stroke. Its compact size and new patented integral release bolt mechanism makes it desirable for commercial vehicles. It contains a minimum bolt protrusion (1.25 inches on long stroke models when manually released); a non-coil clash power spring and corrosion-resistant steel head - epoxy-coated. This aftermarket unit s-cam brake with breather tube and piggyback plus features a 3 inch long stroke and port sizes of 3/8-18 inches. Service size is 30 and spring size is 24. It's "B" measurement is 7.94 inches; "C" measurement is 8.32 inches; "D" measurement is 6.76 inches and inlets are 3/8 - 18 NPTF.
